with gratitude
Grow & live an inspired life….
At Inspirit Garden, gratitude isn’t just a practice — it’s a way of being.
It’s the fertile ground where love, joy, and possibility take root.
Gratitude has the power to shift everything. It turns what we have into enough, what we see into wonder, and what we experience into wisdom. When we pause to notice the beauty surrounding us — the light through the trees, a deep breath, the kindness of another soul — we align with life’s natural rhythm of giving and receiving.
It is a cornerstone of living a life you love.
Because when you live with gratitude, your focus moves from what’s missing to what’s present. You begin to see that every challenge carries a gift, every moment holds meaning, and every step is part of something greater unfolding through you.
Gratitude opens the heart. It connects us — to each other, to nature, to spirit, and to ourselves.
Gratitude
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

SIMPLE ABUNDANCE
A DAYBOOK of COMFORT and JOY
by Sarah Ban Breathnach
In 1995, Sarah Ban Breathnach was on Oprah, and this book, along with the concept of keeping a gratitude journal, was introduced to me, and at 26, my life was changed forever.
The picture is of my actual book. Its pages are dog-eared, highlighted, and filled with Post-it notes and scraps of paper with handwritten notes.
When the pandemic began in 2020, I dusted this book off and revisited its insightful and wisdom-filled pages. It has been a valuable tool & resource navigating these unprecedented times, and remains a resource I highly recommend to growing & living an inspired life.
I will leave you with an expert from
SIMPLE ABUNDANCE entry for January 14 begins with this quote:
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
- Melody Beattie
Sarah wrote “The gratitude journal has to be the first step on the Simple Abundance path or it just won’t work for you. Simplicity, order, harmony, beauty, and joy - all the other principles that can transform your life will not blossom and flourish without grtatutude. If you want to travel on this journey with me, the gratitude journal is not an option.”
What is Gratitude and Why Is It So Important?
“Gratitude is an emotion similar to appreciation, and positive psychology research has found neurological reasons why so many people can benefit from this general practice of expressing thanks for our lives, even in times of challenge and change.”
